In a 50/50 joint venture, Qualico Properties and Leon's Furniture Ltd. celebrated the grand opening of a new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters and distribution centre for The Brick on Jan. 14, 2025 in northwest Edmonton.

Since Phase Two broke ground last year, well over 120,000 labour hours have already been poured into the redesigned and expanded EPCOR Tower Parkade, which will form the foundation upon which two mixed-use residential towers, a commercial podium, and a public plaza will be built over top.

Qualico Properties Calgary has acquired a three-storey, 98,225-sq.-ft. building in South Calgary’s Quarry Park. The building will not only serve as a new asset in the business unit’s portfolio that will offer leasing potential, but also as the Southern Alberta Region’s new main office.

The distribution centres, one for The Brick and the other for Home Depot, represent tremendous growth within Edmonton’s light industrial real estate market in recent years.

Qualico Properties has now completed the final phase of its Willoughby Town Centre project in the Willoughby community, located in the Township of Langley. The project’s completion marks the end of Qualico’s portion of the community’s development, which has taken roughly 10 years.

The project, a joint venture between Qualico Properties and LEDCOR, presented a golden opportunity to convert an under-utilized area of downtown into a dynamic and lively mixed-use community space that pays homage to its historic roots.
