Sterling Homes Winnipeg is the first homebuilder in Winnipeg and the second in Manitoba to obtain the Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) net-zero ready certification for its single-family detached home at 54 Siskin Bay, which was completed this summer. The accomplishment aligns with Qualico's commitment to sustainability and innovation and demonstrates Sterling Homes Winnipeg’s position as an industry leader offering energy-efficient options to its customers.

Langley’s Willoughby neighbourhood is getting closer to having the first-ever net zero ready townhomes in the Fraser Valley. StreetSide Developments BC has been working on its Cascadia community there – which will have a mix of net zero ready and standard townhomes – since the official groundbreaking in January.

Contributing to Qualico’s goal to have a Net Zero certified builder in each of its markets, Sterling Homes Calgary has become Qualico’s first registered and certified Net Zero builder in Calgary with their newest showhome located in the Qualico Community of Vermilion Hill.

Foxridge Homes BC is busy building the first net-zero home in the brand’s history, as well as the first of this type of home in the Township of Langley. Located in the Westbrooke community, the home will be built to meet Step Code 5 of the BC Energy Step Code, as well as comply with the technical requirements of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) Net Zero Home Labelling Program.

Sterling Homes Edmonton has become a BUILT GREEN certified homebuilder, earning recognition for building more sustainable, more affordable, and healthier homes.

Last month, Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan solidified its reputation for building energy-efficient homes, winning the Environmental Leadership Award (20+ homes), given by the Regina Homebuilders Association.

Harrison Hot Springs, BC – On February 25-26, 19 members of Qualico’s Sustainability Working Group Committee attended the Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s (CHBA) Net-Zero Home Leadership Summit. Qualico was part of a group of 210 attendees from key stakeholders that have impact and influence in the residential construction industry such as utilities, renewable energy solution providers, infrastructure design and development, financing, education and capacity building, and research and technologies.
