Public Lot Sales Available in Devon, AB Community

Edmonton, ABQualico Communities Edmonton has begun servicing a new phase of South Ravines, with all 21 lots being sold directly to the public.

The picturesque residential development is in the growing town of Devon, 15 minutes southwest of Edmonton, close to a wide range of amenities, and located beside an environmental reserve.

The community offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to build a new home backing the ravine, with customers enjoying the added flexibility to work with any builder they wish. While most new developments are limited to only one or two builders, South Ravines allows home buyers to work with any builder, vastly increasing the range of choice for customers looking for the perfect housing model complete with desired customizations.

“South Ravines is one of the most beautiful pieces of land we own. The natural amenities and prices are incomparable. You won’t find ravine-backing lots at these prices anywhere else in the Edmonton Region,” says Kirsten Warwick, Director of Sales and Marketing, Qualico Communities Edmonton.

The new development follows the initial phase of South Ravines, which began servicing 72 lots in 2016 and is now almost sold out, with only a few lots remaining. The land is situated in a river valley adjacent to the Qualico Communities development Ravines of Devon to the north.

The two developments are connected by a beautiful untouched environmental reserve and ravine offering 14 km of world-class walking trails cutting through a breathtaking evergreen forest and creek system, flowing gently into the nearby North Saskatchewan River.

The Town of Devon is seeing strong residential growth, thanks to a range of exciting new developments in the area. The community is also benefitting from an influx of new residents who are reconsidering their lifestyles and budget in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Devon is known for its quiet, friendly charm and its gorgeous array of natural features and wealth of all-season recreational activities including hiking, fishing, swimming, golfing, skating, and cross-country skiing. Residents are near Edmonton, while having excellent shopping, entertainment and community facilities like a state-of-the-art hospital, public parks, an arena, and six schools in town.

Access to and from South Ravines is being greatly improved thanks to the twinning and realignment of Highway 16, which connects to main thoroughfares into Edmonton, the Edmonton International Airport and the nearby communities of Acheson, Nisku, and Leduc. The project is designed to improve traffic flows in the area while increasing vehicle safety.

The price point for new lots at South Ravines is attracting all types of homebuyers including first-time homeowners, remote workers, nature enthusiasts and commuters looking to escape the city in favour of a small-town vibe packed with incredible scenery, amenities, and plenty of opportunities for laying down roots.
