Qualico Communities Calgary Launches New Community in Langdon

Calgary, AB – Qualico Communities Calgary has announced the launch of Painted Sky, its newest development in the hamlet of Langdon, located 20 minutes from Calgary at the east end of Glenmore Trail.

“Painted Sky will be a family-oriented community designed to serve the lifestyle needs of its residents,” said Nina Wulder, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Qualico Communities Calgary. “It will be a haven for families looking for an alternative tocity living, and the convenience of nearby schools, recreation, and services.”

The business unit broke ground on the new community in 2020, which will be built over 266 acres in nine phases once completed. Homebuilders in Painted Sky’s first phase will be ready to start selling to the public next month, with showhomes set to open in September.

For the first time, Qualico Communities Calgary will include exclusive Qualico homebuilders in phase one. This will allow Qualico Communities Calgary the ability to offer incentives from Qualico exclusive partners to new homebuyers through its First 30 Incentive Program.

This program offers the first 30 home purchasers in the community a $2,000 credit towards a service from one of their exclusive partners – WM Schmidt (plumbing and mechanical services), Designers Edge Interior Design (design services), and Wilco Contractors (landscape services).

Each of the builders in phase one will offer a specific product type – laned homes from NuVista Homes, front attached garage homes from Broadview Homes, and wide shallow front garage homes from Sterling Homes.

Wide shallow lots offer homebuyers a unique opportunity that is not as readily available in Calgary. These lots allow for wider homes with increased frontage that allow the option of a three-car garage, a feature typically found in larger homes. The community will offer several home styles, including craftsman, prairie, farmhouse, and mid-century modern homes.

Along with the larger lot sizes and diverse home styles, Painted Sky will include great amenities once completed, including 2.8 km of pathways, four playgrounds, six parks, and wetland areas, making it the ideal place for families to get out and enjoy the community.

The K-9 Langdon school is within walking distance of Painted Sky, and a future school site is also planned for the community.

To help celebrate the launch of Painted Sky, Qualico Communities Calgary provided prospective homebuyers who signed up on the community’s website with Community Reveal Boxes.  The boxes offered information about the community, the homebuilders, home types and pricing, as well as some extra swag items and gifts.
