StreetSide Developments BC Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Juno Realtor Event
Surrey, BC – StreetSide Developments BC held the largest and most successful Realtor event in its history earlier this year to introduce the Juno high-rise project to the Realtor community, build excitement and demand for Qualico’s first ever high-rise condo tower project, and kick off the launch of Realtor-client previews.
Over 500 Realtors attended the glamourous red-carpet event, which featured canapés, cocktails, a DJ, an ice sculpture, and prize draws for $10,010 in cash and two electric scooters. StreetSide Developments BC invited Realtors to the event via e-blasts, phone calls from the sales team, social media, and an SMS text campaign.
A major focus of the event was that Juno is the first tower project in Metro Vancouver to launch with a 10% total deposit, which means Realtors’ clients can purchase a home for only $20,000 now and $20,000 later, without having to pay more until the project’s completion in 2028.
Jonathan Meads, Vice-President, StreetSide Developments BC, said the 10% deposit allows first-time and younger buyers to actually see an opportunity to get into homeownership.
“That was an important factor for us,” said Jonathan. “We want to enable people to get into the market. We worked very hard to achieve the 10% deposit offering and I believe that’s partially on the strength of Qualico and the strength of the brand behind us.”
Often, the biggest obstacle when it comes to purchasing real estate is coming up with the initial deposit, so Juno’s low deposit is something that has made many people take notice, according to Tara Desmond, Director of Sales (Acting), StreetSide Developments BC.
“Launching a tower with just a 10% deposit is unheard of in Metro Vancouver, and it caused a lot of excitement amongst buyers and shockwaves across the industry,” said Tara. “So much so that many of our employees were getting calls from friends, family, and former colleagues asking if it was true.”
The Realtor event also highlighted the fact that Juno is the first high-rise tower along this section of 104 Ave. in Surrey, showcased the benefits of buying from a reputable builder with over 70 years of experience, and gave Realtors the opportunity to be among the first to tour the two designer display homes.
The event was part of a Realtor preview week, where Realtors were invited to book private appointments to tour the Sales Gallery and two display homes. Combined with the over 500 attendees at the Realtor red-carpet event, a total of more than 700 Realtors
attended the
Realtor preview week.
Amie Tran, Marketing Manager, StreetSide Developments BC, noted that along with the 10% deposit, Juno stands out from other properties in the market because it has the largest amenity space within a standalone community in Surrey, at over 37,000 sq. ft.
“With homes getting smaller due to affordability in Vancouver, we wanted to ensure there was ample indoor and outdoor amenity spaces that act like an extension of people’s homes – where they can host gatherings of all sizes or take meetings and calls,” said Amie.
Some of the amenities at Juno will include a rooftop terrace and indoor sky lounge with a wet bar on level 34, a theatre room, a sports bar with a pool table and foosball, a putting green, a fully equipped gym with a yoga room and sauna, study pods and a library, a podcast room, and meeting rooms.
Juno will offer a wide range of product types, from studios to three-bedroom lock-off suites, so it will attract a varied homebuyer demographic, from investors to first-time buyers, and couples to growing families looking to upsize.
Looking ahead, StreetSide Developments BC’s development team is already in the early stages of working on a second concrete high-rise project for the business unit – this one in Coquitlam, blocks away from StreetSide’s Port & Mill low-rise project. The lessons learned and strategies developed during the construction of Juno will certainly be valuable as the team embarks on this next endeavour.
