Star Building Materials Calgary Launches Webtrack Service to Improve Customer Experience

Calgary, AB – Star Building Materials Calgary has introduced Webtrack, a self-serve web service that positions the business unit ahead of the curve in the building materials industry when it comes to customer service.

Webtrack centralizes vital customer documents that would otherwise be sent via email, such as orders, quotes, and invoice references. All documents and data provided on the customer Webtrack portal is live data from the Star Building Materials Calgary BisTrack inventory and sales management system, which matches exactly what Star Building Materials Calgary staff is able to view at the same time.

Having all files in one location helps improve customer processes, with documents broken out by job and address, ensuring framers and site inspectors have instant access to the correct and most up-to-date information when on site. It also helps ensure that inspectors do not need to be rescheduled if there are issues on site. In addition, customers’ management teams determine what documents and data each user can view to keep confidential information secure.

Star Building Materials Calgary’s use of Webtrack right now is just the beginning of the possibilities the service holds, according to Cole Hendry, Manager, Scheduling Sales, Star Building Materials Calgary.

“The Webtrack portal is a step toward greater efficiency,” said Cole. “We may be at the beginning stages, but the future of what it can provide will cut down the need for emails as it will be a one-stop shop for site and office to get the information needed for job progression.”

The Webtrack service is currently in the early launch stage and holds documentation for over 400 active sites, spread over two customers, with five to six accounts per customer. Star Building Materials Calgary is now accepting new customers onto the platform to continue to provide an excellent customer experience.

So far, customers have shared positive feedback about the Webtrack service and its benefits, according to Steven Rosia, Systems Coordinator, Star Building Materials Calgary.

“I think this type of service is often underutilized by most companies, especially in the construction industry,” said Steven. “Webtrack allows transparency so the customer can see what is going on with their orders on demand. They can see incoming deliveries and when their orders have been shipped, so they know what to expect.”

In the near future, Star Building Materials Calgary will be expanding the list of services offered through Webtrack, including proof of delivery that will include delivery photos, and order entry where customers will have the ability to order products online. Through the Webtrack portal, customers will be able to view nearly everything the team provides within BisTrack.

The introduction of this service demonstrates Star Building Materials Calgary’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences, through leveraging current web-based tools to better serve customers, ensuring real-time data is available at customers’ fingertips, and enabling access to supplier information in one secure location.
