Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan Wins Safety Leadership in Housing Award

Saskatoon, SK – Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan took home the Safety Leadership in Housing award at the 2024 Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association’s Housing Excellence Awards held earlier this month.

The Housing Excellence Awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of the organization’s professional members that continue to advance the residential construction industry’s goals. This was the award event’s 32nd year.

Contributing to Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan’s award win was their internal COR audit completed at the end of March 2023, which continued the company’s impressive results at 96%. COR audits of the company’s health and safety management system are completed annually.

In addition, the team held a safety event in the office parking lot in April 2023, where the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association did demonstrations on fall protection, as well as eye and hand protection. Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan had trades at risk attend the demonstrations, including framers, exterior applicators, and roofers.

Rick Groeneveld, Vice-President, Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan, said it was gratifying to win the Safety Leadership in Housing award, as the team has worked hard over the past year to hit a number of milestones.

“Winning this award shows we're not only good at building homes, but also at keeping everyone safe while doing it, including our employees and customers,” said Rick. “This award ups our game in the housing market and makes us stand out as a company that's reliable and trustworthy – sort of like a seal of approval.”

Rick said people prefer doing business with a company that's top-notch in safety over one that isn’t, which is why the award is a significant accolade that will contribute to the business’ growth and success.

“The award suggests that we’re doing things right,” he said. “It could attract more customers, boosting our growth even more. Plus, it puts us ahead of other companies in the same field, making us a solid competitor. Overall, it's a sign we are nailing it in the housing industry, both safety- and business-wise.”

In addition to winning the Safety Leadership in Housing award, Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan was also nominated for the Best Production Home over 1,901 sq. ft. and Best Radio Ad awards.

Kim Teichroeb, Sales Manager, Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan, said the nominations are like receiving a pat on the back for doing something the team loves.

“It is so great to get a nod for these titles,” said Kim. “Being nominated for the Best Production Home over 1,900 sq. ft. shows us our goal to squeeze every bit of style and life into every square foot is really paying off, and the nomination for Best Radio Ad tells us that our fun spin on things is turning heads.”

Congratulations to Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan on the award win and nominations!
