Harmony Named Best Community in Calgary Region
Calgary, AB – For the sixth time in seven years, the community of Harmony has been named best community in the region by Building Industry Land Developments (BILD) Calgary annual awards
The development of the master-planned lake community being led by Qualico Communities Calgary and Bordeaux Developments. Harmony also won an award for the best showhome parade and best marketing video.
Emily Smith, Marketing and Customer Care Manager at Qualico Communities Calgary, said that Harmony has received this honor so consistently because the ambitious development plan constantly offers its homeowners something new.
“No other community compares to what Harmony has to offer,” she said. “It wins because it’s the best. Something new and exciting is always happening as the community grows.”
Harmony is setting a new standard in Alberta for modern developments that prioritize lifestyle and community experience, thanks to its exceptional features such as lake-side living, cutting-edge amenities, refined housing choices, and well-conceived connectivity. The community boasts one of two large freshwater lakes, sandy beaches, the world-class Mickelson National Golf Course, 25 km of trails, parks, and entertainment options, providing residents with an abundance of exciting activities and experiences.
The community includes a group of high-quality home builders consisting of Augusta Fine Homes, Baywest Homes, Broadview Homes, NuVista Homes, Daytona Homes, Sterling Homes, and Streetside Developments
Harmony provides a diverse selection of premium housing options that cater to different lifestyles and budget preferences. These range from luxurious lakefront estates with private docks, to tastefully crafted traditional front garage homes, and expansive townhomes with low maintenance requirements. All of the properties boast generous lot sizes and spacious, semi-customizable designs, where every aspect has been meticulously planned for maximum impact.
Homebuyers can explore its estate showhomes when they open on June 24, 2023.
The community will also gain a new road extension on the east side, slated for completion in 2024. A location for a proposed major wholesale retailer is a short drive from Harmony
Within the community, a small commercial area will be opening later this year, beginning a wider offering of retail shops and services, with the design of a Village Centre, which will offer residents with a wider array of retail options a short drive from their front door.
As the community grows, it will resemble a town on the edge of Calgary, Emily added.
“What are all the things that you need in a town? You need a robust commercial area. You need safe residential areas. You need amenities so that people enjoy living their best life,” she said.
The community will also play host to a number of premium events this summer. After completion of the clubhouse at Mickelson National in June, the Golf Club will host the Mickelson Invitational Tournament from July 4-10, which will see a competition of pro and amateur golfers. Harmony will also play host to the third annual Ironman triathlon on July 30th.
