StreetSide Edmonton Townhome Wins BILD Alberta Award

Edmonton, AB – StreetSide Developments Edmonton demonstrated its leadership in the multi-family housing market, taking home an award for one of its townhome models at the BILD Alberta Awards that took place earlier this month in Jasper.

The Fremont, StreetSide’s 1197 sq. ft., 3-story townhome, was awarded Best Multi-Family Townhome or Duplex, $300,000 - $375,000. The model includes a double attached garage, two master suites with a walk-in closet and private ensuites. The second floor boasts an open-concept living space, with a kitchen with a large centre island, a walk-in pantry, and a dry bar in the dining space.

Nicholas Carels, VP of StreetSide Edmonton, with BILD Alberta AwardAnother StreetSide model, the Lombard, was also a finalist for the same award.

Popular among Streetside Edmonton’s homebuyers, the Fremont offers a high-functioning living space perfect for hosting guests. The model is currently available in five different communities throughout Edmonton.

“We extended that kitchen and added a bar option into the dining nook, which it makes it feel like most of the main floor is your kitchen, as well as a dining and entertaining area,” said Vanessa Freeman, Sales and Marketing Manager, StreetSide Developments Edmonton. “The kitchen is often said to be the heart of the home, so we’ve added a few features to make it pop.”

The multi-family homebuilder takes meticulous care in crafting its models, using market research, design trends, and customer feedback. As they strive to design the most functional and vibrant living spaces, homeowner surveys are a valuable component of their design process.

“We work to make every space functional. But understanding how a space is lived in allows us to improve our future home designs,” Vanessa said.

Flexible design options generate broad appeal for StreetSide’s homes, whether that is one of its condos, townhomes, or bungalows. The business unit has achieved this through its colour board selections and its easy-to-use “Make It Yours” guide. This resource allows every homeowner to personalize their home to reflect their wants and needs. This includes interior finishing upgrades, such as a feature wall or fireplace, more storage space, or upgrades to the kitchen, dining room or bathroom.

Nicolas Carels, Vice President, StreetSide Edmonton, attributes the builder’s success to the dedication of their employees.

“We have a strong staff with a keen eye for design that helps keep us moving to always be leading the industry, not following it. These awards are the outcome of their hard work and innovation,” he said.

Every employee at StreetSide Edmonton plays a role in building a home its future owner will love, added Vanessa.

“We have a very dialled-in team. Everybody, from sales and marketing to our construction and project managers, are figuring out what homebuyers want.”
