Nuvista Wins Prestigious Avid Award

Calgary, AB – The team at NuVista Homes are the proud recipients of the prestigious Avid Benchmark Award this year. With 934 qualifying builders across Canada and the United States, the competition was fierce.

The Avid Awards are the largest award program in North America, and one of the most trusted benchmarks in the homebuilding industry, recognizing customer satisfaction in homebuilding. Voted by homeowners who purchased in the previous year, the Avid Awards are all about helping new buyers better understand which builders they can rely on when it comes to making a purchase. Because Avid Ratings is a completely independent customer experience research firm, homebuyers can count on it to provide them with comprehensive analysis on which builders to trust when they're looking to purchase. 

The voting process for the Avid Awards is based on surveys that verified homeowners complete. These third-party customer surveys are then compiled in the largest homebuyer experience database in North America, and scored in various areas including the overall homeowner’s experience in making their purchase, whether or not they’d be willing to refer the company, and the actual number of recommendations they’ve made. Covering everything from sales right through to the warranty work done on the home, these surveys carry with them a lot of weight regarding the buying experience.

Vice President of NuVista Homes Mike Plumton says that there’s a lot of learning to be had from the homeowners who complete the surveys. Both favorable and unfavorable results from surveys are shared, making this data some of the most valuable in the industry for both homebuyers and builders.

Seven other builders besides NuVista received the Avid Benchmark Award this year, which identifies companies that rank in the top 25% nationwide, based on the homeowner’s purchasing experience within their first 90 days in the home.
