Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan unveiled Saskatoon’s first Net-Zero Ready home in the Saskatoon Parade of Homes, showing the steps being taken by Qualico to achieve the goal of having a Net-Zero certified builder in every Western Canadian Province by 2023.
104 Forsey Ave. was built with efficiency in mind, with it including improved airtightness using insulation, energy-efficient mechanical systems, as well as using industry-leading building practices to construct it.
Although the home was built with energy efficiency that’s 15% above typical homebuilders’ standard, you wouldn’t likely notice the features as the design stays close to that of a typical home. To view the added value a Net-Zero Ready Home has to offer, QR codes are displayed around the home to highlight and explain the various features.
