Qualico supports Mental Health Foundation Breakfast

Edmonton, AB – As Qualico celebrates its 75th anniversary, supporting the communities where we live and work remains central to who we are.

Recently, Qualico proudly served as a presenting sponsor of the Mental Health Foundation’s Annual Fundraising Breakfast in Edmonton, an event that brings together community leaders, advocates, and organizations committed to improving mental health support across Alberta.

This year’s breakfast welcomed more than 700 attendees, including 50 Qualico team members from across our Northern Alberta business units. This includes team members from Sterling Homes, Streetside, Pacesetter Homes, Qualico Communities, and Qualico Properties, which each supported the event as sponsors while participating together under the Qualico banner to support the foundation’s work.

The event’s theme, “We All Know Someone,” reflects a reality many families experience. According to the Mental Health Foundation, one in five Albertans lives with mental illness or addiction, making access to care, support, and understanding more important than ever.

“Qualico’s leadership as our Presenting Sponsor is helping build a future where every Albertan living with mental illness or addiction is met with dignity, support, and real pathways to hope,” said Darren Lunt, President & CEO, Mental Health Foundation. “With one in five Albertans experiencing these challenges, their commitment strengthens the services that families rely on every single day.”

Brad Armstrong, Regional Vice-President, Northern Alberta, noted the importance of supporting initiatives that strengthen community wellbeing.

“What makes today’s breakfast particularly meaningful is that five of our Qualico business units made a deliberate decision to come together in support of this cause. That level of alignment reflects how important this issue is across our organization.”

The program also featured Sherri Stace, Vice-President, Sterling Homes Edmonton, who spoke as a community advocate for mental health awareness and support for families navigating these challenges.

Her message to the audience was simple and clear.

“Mental health is health.”

Events like the Mental Health Foundation Breakfast help raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and strengthen the services that support individuals and families across our province.

For Qualico, supporting initiatives like this reflect a continued commitment to building better communities, today and for generations to come.
