Calgary, AB — Two Qualico business units were recognized with top honours at the 2025 BILD Calgary Region Awards, reinforcing Qualico’s leadership in homebuilding and community development across Southern Alberta.

Broadview Homes Calgary was awarded Best New Home – Up to $434,999 for its Newport III model, while Qualico Communities Calgary earned Community of the Year – Calgary Region for its master-planned community, Harmony.

The annual BILD Calgary Region Awards celebrate excellence across the building industry, recognizing innovation in home design, community planning, marketing, and sales.

“These awards reflect the strength of our teams and the consistency of our approach,” said Claudio Palumbo, Regional Vice-President, Southern Alberta, Qualico. “They show how our businesses continue to deliver quality homes and communities that meet the needs of today’s buyers while contributing to long-term growth in the region.”

Newport III recognized for design and value

Broadview Homes’ Newport III stood out in a competitive field for delivering thoughtful design and flexibility at an attainable price point.

“Being nominated was already a huge honour, but winning for the Newport III is something we’re especially proud of because these awards are judged by our peers,” said Andrew Mackenzie, Sales and Marketing Manager, Broadview Homes Calgary. “It tells us we’re hitting the mark, and it’s rewarding to know the industry sees the value our homeowners experience every day.”

The Newport III combines functional layouts with elevated standard features, offering homeowners flexibility that supports changing needs over time.

“It delivers more than people expect at this price. It proves you don’t need to sacrifice style or practicality to have a home that feels special.”

The recognition reinforces Broadview Homes’ approach to future developments.

“This win reminds us to keep raising the bar. We’re focused on homes that look great on paper, but more importantly, live well in real life.”

Harmony named Community of the Year

Qualico Communities’ Harmony community was named Community of the Year – Calgary Region, marking its ninth time receiving the honour in the past 10 years.

“Being recognized again is a strong validation of the long-term vision behind Harmony,” said Rishika Dave, Communications Specialist, Qualico Communities Calgary. “It was never designed as a short-term project. It’s an evolving community built around lifestyle, connection, and placemaking.”

The joint-venture community by Qualico Communities and Bordeaux Developments is located in Springbank, a rural area of Rocky View County immediately west of Calgary. Set against the Rocky Mountains, Harmony is known for its blend of lakeside living, natural landscapes, and modern amenities.

“Consistent recognition like this reflects the strength of the partnerships behind Harmony. It also reinforces our responsibility to continue raising the standard across every community we build.”

Industry recognition across Southern Alberta

For Qualico, the awards underscore the organization’s role as an industry leader in Southern Alberta.

“Our industry continues to be a strong economic driver,” said Claudio. “Seeing our teams recognized alongside so many talented peers speaks to the momentum we’re building across the region.”
