Pacesetter Homes Texas earns spot on Builder 100 list for the ninth consecutive year
Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth, TX – Pacesetter Homes Texas has earned a spot on Builder Magazine’s Builder 100 list for the ninth consecutive year. The prestigious list recognizes the most successful homebuilders across the United States based on the number of yearly closings.
Parker Scott, Vice-President, Pacesetter Homes Austin, said being recognized by Builder Magazine is an incredible honour that validates the dedication and hard work of everyone on the team and reflects the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and community-focused development.
Several strategic initiatives have been instrumental in Pacesetter Homes success in Austin, according to Parker.
“First, we focused on smart growth – expanding thoughtfully while maintaining our quality standards,” he said. “Second, we invested heavily in innovation, including energy-efficient designs and smart home technology. Finally, a deep commitment to customer satisfaction has kept our buyers engaged and enthusiastic about recommending us to others.”
These initiatives are evident in recent projects like Easton Park in Austin, which exemplifies Pacesetter Homes Texas’ vision for community-focused living, and in Whisper Valley in Manor, TX, which represents the homebuilder’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Blake Friesenhahn, Vice-President, Pacesetter Homes Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), pointed to Pacesetter Homes significant expansion in the DFW market last year as a factor that has helped cement the homebuilder’s reputation in Texas.
“Fifteen new model homes across eight communities were completed and five brand-new floorplans were introduced to the lineup,” Blake said. “Six of these communities are part of large-scale, master-planned developments that further reinforce our presence and strength in this rapidly growing market.”
To stand out from the rise of large national builders and keep up with shifting buyer preferences, Pacesetter Homes Texas focuses on a key differentiator: choice. More flexible floorplans and more control over design selections offer customers an impressive level of personalization.
As well, Pacesetter Homes Texas actively seeks and analyzes customer feedback through post-closing surveys, online reviews, and direct homeowner input; monitors broader market trends; and holds feedback sessions with employees and the design studio team to stay in tune with customer trends and preferences.
The year was not without its challenges, including continued volatility in interest rates, inflation-related pressures on both materials and consumer confidence, and hesitancy among buyers due to higher borrowing costs. Parker noted that Pacesetter Homes Texas faced these challenges head-on.
“We significantly increased our buyer incentives and worked hard to streamline operations, strengthen supplier relationships, and keep our construction timelines on track,” Parker said. “It took a lot of adaptability, transparency, and teamwork—but ultimately, those efforts allowed us to continue delivering quality homes and earn the trust of our buyers, even during a tough year.”
The Pacesetter Homes teams in both Austin and DFW are working to launch even more exciting projects and developments in the near future, which are sure to keep them on the Builder 100 list for years to come.
“We’re excited to be launching several new communities in both markets that emphasize walkability, sustainability, and mixed-use spaces,” shared Parker. “We’re also expanding our portfolio with more floorplans and options to meet the evolving needs of Texas buyers.”
Blake shared another major development that will help keep buyers informed and engaged, and ultimately lead to higher customer satisfaction.
“The DFW business unit is enhancing and automating our customer communication through an email campaign that includes video tutorials and updates on the current stage of construction,” Blake said. “These emails are triggered automatically as each milestone is completed in BuildPro, ensuring that every buyer receives consistent, timely information throughout the entire build process.”
In addition to the Builder 100 List recognition, Pacesetter Homes Texas also scooped up more accolades recently. Taylor Humphrey, Director, Sales & Marketing, Pacesetter Homes DFW, won Marketing Professional of the year from the Dallas Builders Association, and Lauren McClung, Manager, Marketing, Pacesetter Homes in Austin, was recognized as the Senior Marketing Professional of the Year by the Austin Home Builders Association.

Taylor said winning the award for marketing was very validating, since he’s often more known for his work on the construction/operations side and his sales leadership.
“Many people don’t know that I have led our marketing department for the last six years,” Taylor said. “I’m very thankful for the team I get to work with every day and honored that the team nominated me for this prestigious award.”
Lauren expressed her heartfelt gratitude and spoke about her journey and support from her team after being recognized with the award.
“I am honored by this recognition from others in the industry and sincerely grateful to Pacesetter Homes and Qualico for the opportunity to grow and help families in the Austin metro find a home,” said Lauren.
These recent acknowledgements showcase Pacesetter Homes Texas’ success in achieving strong customer satisfaction, continuing to innovate, and building quality homes for the modern buyer in two rapidly growing and highly competitive markets.
