Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan helps raise funds for KidSport Saskatoon

Saskatoon, SK – Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan employees participated in the recent Corporate Challenge Amazing Race, a fundraising event that raised $65,000 for the charity.

KidSport Saskatoon helps ensure children ages five to 18 have access to sports programs by providing grants of up to $500 per child to assist with sport registration fees and equipment costs.

Supporting the Corporate Challenge and KidSport Saskatoon in general, perfectly aligns with Qualico’s commitment to giving back and being an active part of the communities it serves, according to Kim Teichroeb, Sales Manager, Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan.

“Just as we aim to build quality homes that support strong neighbourhoods, KidSport creates opportunities that support healthy and inclusive communities through access to sports,” she said. “Supporting KidSport complements our work by ensuring that the neighbourhoods we build are not just places to live, but also places to thrive.”

The Corporate Challenge involved a mix of mental and physical challenges designed to test teamwork and problem-solving skills — from basketball and football drills to quizzes, obstacle courses, and puzzles.

“We’re grateful to KidSport Saskatoon for organizing such an impactful event. We were also proud to take part as a Detour Sponsor, contributing not only through participation but also through meaningful community support,” Kim said.

“Each of us brought different strengths to the table, and we supported one another throughout the event,” she added. “By working together and leaning into each person’s unique abilities, we were able to stay motivated and perform our best as a team.”

While this was Pacesetter Homes Saskatchewan’s first time participating in the KidSport Corporate Challenge Amazing Race, the homebuilder has previously been involved in fundraising efforts for the charity through hockey tournaments, and tries to support the organization in other ways whenever possible.

The team is already looking forward to being involved in next year’s KidSport Corporate Challenge, and would highly recommend the event to other companies and organizations in the city. It’s an excellent opportunity to build workplace culture while giving back to the community in a meaningful way.
