StreetSide unveils fresh and innovative rebrand
StreetSide has launched a new rebrand to reflect its current products and customers. The new brand features an icon and logo with a new font, an updated colour, and a simple yet strong impact with the word “Developments” now removed.
“The old logo was sometimes hard to work with, and we thought a slight change in the blue colour would help to keep our identity more youthful and exciting,” said Jonathan Meads, Vice-President, StreetSide BC. “We wanted our logo to feel more like the business we represent today – young, fresh and innovative.”
Nancy MacKinnon, Director, Marketing, StreetSide BC, said the team decided to drop the word “Developments” in the rebrand to make it feel more personable and streamlined, qualities that the company is known for.
StreetSide also opted for a fresher blue colour, with lots of complementary colours in the overall brand guidelines that can be used. Bolding half of the logo allows it to pop and stand out, compared to having all the same font thickness.
A more modern typeface and the jaunty slant of the ‘d’ adds some fun and interesting play. Open to the interpretation of the viewer, the angled ‘d’ can look like a roof line, and also allows some fun graphic opportunities (for example, a cut corner of a business card in keeping with the angle).
Finally, maintaining “A Qualico Company” as part of the logo continues to demonstrate StreetSide’s longstanding history in its markets.
“StreetSide is known for innovation in its market space,” said Vanessa Freeman, Director, Sales & Marketing, StreetSide Edmonton. “We feel that the new logo reflects our constant desire to push the boundaries of what’s currently available in our respective markets and to find new and creative ways to design homes that every buyer can get into.”
All four StreetSide regional business units participated in the rebrand process, working with an external brand specialist who conducted interviews of all marketing team members, along with the vice-presidents.

“We expected some bumps and bruises along the way, but the StreetSide team pulled it off with relative ease,” said Kelli Roach, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager, StreetSide Winnipeg. “I’d like to attribute this to the relationship each regional office has built over the last several years as we often share plans, designs, and strategies.”
With an updated look now gracing everything from websites to marketing materials to signage, StreetSide is ensuring its leading-edge, high-quality product is properly represented in today’s market.
