Qualico Properties hits leasing milestone at Willoughby Town Centre development
Langley, BC – Qualico Properties hit a significant milestone this summer in the Willoughby community by having 99% of its Willoughby Town Centre development leased. Less than 1,500 sq. ft. remain before all 181,000+ sq. ft. of the mixed commercial space is fully leased.
Willoughby Town Centre is first class in its category, with a mix of office and retail commercial space and 64 different tenants, including grocery stores, a pharmacy, banks, beauty services, cafés, restaurants, medical, dental and massage, martial arts, daycare, a vet hospital, and much more.
Over 700 parking stalls are available to ensure it’s a convenient place for people to visit. It is also a walkable site, so residents can get from one place to the other without having to drive around to each amenity.
Camille Lorieau, Director, Leasing, Qualico Properties, shared how proud the team is to have reached this milestone.
“Reaching a 99% lease occupancy at Willoughby Town Centre showcases our hard work and dedication,” said Camille. “It's a satisfying indicator of success, reflecting our commitment to creating quality spaces for businesses and communities to thrive.”
Construction on Phase 1 of Willoughby Town Centre began in 2010, and the rest of the phases have been built out over the last 10 years. The final phase of construction was fully developed two years ago.
Along with the commercial component, there is also a residential portion, which includes 91 one- and two-bedroom condo units on three floors located above the commercial component. The residential portion also has a small common area and a rooftop amenity featuring panoramic views of the North Shore Mountains. The residential portion is completely sold out.
Willoughby Town Centre is a strong example of how Qualico Properties’ national relationship model was applied successfully across regions. Qualico Properties collaborated with other business units on the development, including StreetSide Developments BC, which managed the development, and Rancho Management Services (B.C.) Ltd., which took on the property management role.
Population projections for the area are expected to double over the next decade, and with over 100,000 people currently living within five kilometres of Willoughby Town Centre, the development will be an essential part of the community.
