StreetSide Calgary Begins Final Phase of Evanston Park

Calgary, AB – StreetSide Developments Calgary has started construction and pre-sales for Evanston Park’s fourth and final phase, adding 79 modern saltbox-style townhomes to the well-established Evanston community in Northwest Calgary.

Marking the final stage of a multi-phased project nearly a decade in the making, the new homes, ready for occupancy in summer 2023, offer affordable contemporary living with all the amenities and conveniences of a fully established neighbourhood.

Max Conrad, StreetSide Developments Calgary’s Manager, Marketing and Digital Sales, said that Evanston Park’s final phase will provide first-time homebuyers with a rare opportunity to purchase a beautiful and affordable brand-new townhome in an established neighbourhood in the northwest part of the city.

“With most new townhome developments in Calgary, you are purchasing in the pioneering stage, when the community is still under construction and several years away from coming into its own. One of the best things about the Evanston community is that everything is already in place,” said Max.

Evanston Park’s new phase of three-level walk-up townhomes will offer a variety of 3 to 4-bedroom floor plans ranging from 1,165 to 1,572 sq. ft. Once completed, the project will add 13 new multi-family buildings and bring the total number of townhome units in Evanston Park to 238. StreetSide has wrapped up sales for the previous phase.

For families needing extra room to spread out, some of the new townhomes can be set up to include a fourth bedroom or den in the lower level.

Starting in the upper $300,000’s, each townhome in Phase 4 will feature bright, open-concept layouts with standard granite countertops, high-quality finishes and materials built to Streetside Certified standards.

With up to 5 unique floorplans to choose from, the new phase includes options for single and double-car garages, as well as a surface parking option that provides more living space on the lower level.

Unlike the previous three phases at Evanston Park, StreetSide opted for larger 3 to 4-bedroom floorplans this time around, adapting to housing affordably conditions resulting from the pandemic and rising interest rates.

“What we were finding was that many first-time homebuyers in Calgary were being pushed out of the single-family market due to affordability and were searching for a home with the proper amount of space and community amenities to meet the needs of their families. Evanston Park makes their decision a lot easier because they no longer have to compromise on a two-bedroom home. They're able to get the space they need in a community they’ll love,” Max said.

Homebuyers at Evanston Park will also benefit from StreetSide’s new Peace of Mind Program, which is designed to ease financial pressure for first-time homeowners. The program offers a deposit cashback incentive of up to $5,000, 12 to 18-month mortgage rate-hold, complimentary condo fees for the first year, a price protection guarantee, and waived legal fees when purchased through associated mortgage broker MMG Mortgages.
