NuVista Homes celebrates launch of new showhome and new home models

Calgary, AB – On September 17, NuVista Homes will be opening its brand-new showhome in the Painted Sky community in Langdon, AB, being developed by Qualico Communities. As well, the team will be launching six new home models designed specifically for the large lot sizes offered in the community.

The showhome is a new model called the Birchwood and is located at 264 Northern Lights Crescent. It offers 1,793 sq. ft. of living space, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and features such as 9-ft. ceilings on the main floor, a large covered front porch, and a main-floor flex room.

The team scaled back the sales centre in this particular showhome to the main-floor flex room to showcase more of the home. They are also offering 360° panoramas of most of the interior kitchen and living room, as well as stills to give customers a feel for the home. In addition, the team is highlighting the home’s triple garage with built-in racking to demonstrate optimal storage.

The opening will also help showcase the six new NuVista Homes models on offer in the community, which include the Birchwood (showhome), the Devon (1,879 sq. ft.), the Lakeshore (1,808 sq. ft.), the Edenview (1,520 sq. ft. bungalow), the Willowglen (1,683 sq. ft.), and the Huntley (1,565 sq. ft.).

These new plans were specifically designed to fit the area’s wider lots (40 ft. and up), which offer more space compared to similarly priced lots in Calgary, as well as meet the needs of the area’s main demographics, as noted by Earl Raatz, Graphic Designer & Social Media Marketing, NuVista Homes.

“The demographics for this area show a majority of the clientele are very family-oriented, with 70 percent having children under 10 years of age,” he said. “They are big commuters, and they also engage in a lot of outdoor recreational activities, so they need storage for their recreational toys.”

The oversized lots can hold not only triple garages, but also offer a parking pad for things like RVs and other recreational equipment.

Wendee Bishop, Marketing Manager & Creative Director, NuVista Homes, shared that in addition to the large lots, the new models also offer many highly desired features.

These homes are quite wide, so they offer great open-concept views from the front to the back of the homes,” she said. “They have large foyers and lots of large windows for natural light. We are offering a new bungalow, called the Edenview, with a rear-attached triple garage and enclosed covered deck, and another plan, called the Devon, that offers a large main-floor flex room that can be easily converted to a bedroom and the powder room converted into a full bath. All plans offer a rear mudroom as well.”

The designs also have added curb appeal thanks to the wider lots, some with front verandahs and the garages located on the back of the home or yard.

With the launch of its brand-new models and showhome, NuVista Homes will offer customers more space and versatility, perfect for busy families who could always use some extra room.

Qualico Communities is planning the showhome opening event and it is expected to be a big draw since it’s the first in-person showhome opening in a Qualico Community since 2020.

There are plans to do lead-ups on CTV Morning Live before the event, and there will be a fall theme for the event, with a colouring contest for kids and various activities in the community. As well, TELUS – which is bringing high-speed fibre optic internet into the community – has donated a 55-inch TV that attendees can enter to win at the event.
