Pacesetter Homes Austin Recognized for Use of Energy-Efficient Technology
Austin, TX – Pacesetter
Homes Austin was recognized earlier this month at the Austin Business Journal’s
2018 Residential Real Estate Awards luncheon, where the company was presented
with the Best Production Homebuilder Award. The Residential Real Estate Awards,
which celebrate top-selling realtors, as well as the area’s best homebuilders,
have been held for the past 19 years. This was the first year that Pacesetter
Homes was nominated.
Pacesetter Homes was
selected based on two main criteria: the use of cutting-edge technology to
create energy-efficient homes, and the offer of affordable housing options in
the Austin area. In Whisper Valley, a 2,062-acre master-planned community that
focuses on sustainability, affordability, and cutting-edge technology,
Pacesetter Homes was one of the first companies to start building.
Dennis Ciani, Marketing Manager at Pacesetter Homes Austin, explained the steps the company had taken to make their homes in communities like Whisper Valley as energy-efficient as possible.
“Pacesetter Homes was the
first volume builder to step forward and incorporate geo-thermal heating,
cooling, and hot water technology at the neighbourhood level in Whisper
Valley,” he said. “In order to do this, Pacesetter was willing to spend the
time and money to learn about geo-thermal and the EcoSmart program, modifying
each home to incorporate this new technology.”
Other features in Pacesetter Homes’ Whisper Valley homes include solar panels,
Google Fiber and integrated network capability, a Nest ‘smart environment’
system, energy-saving plumbing and light fixtures, and energy-saving
appliances.
Pacesetter Homes’ price points are also an important factor in their being selected for the award. With homes starting below $200,000, the company offers options for many life stages and budgets, and has multiple styles to choose from at each price point.
Dennis noted the award has confirmed that Pacesetter Homes Austin is an industry leader in the use of energy-efficient technology, something the company prides itself on, as well as a real competitor in the Austin market in general.
“Recognition by the city and the industry we are in is an honour,” he said. “Research shows that homebuyers purchase with emotion and then justify with logic. This award and others, like the MAX Awards, by the Homebuilders Association of Greater Austin, for excellence in the homebuilding industry, help provide the logical reason to purchase from Pacesetter over our competition.”
