Qualico Links for Life Golf Tournament Raises Support for the Bridge Healing Program

Edmonton, AB – On May 28, 2025, the Qualico Links for Life Golf Invitational welcomed 144 golfers and business leaders to Belvedere Golf & Country Club, raising an impressive $172,000 in support of the Bridge Healing Transitional Accommodation Program at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, which provides vital assistance to Edmonton’s unhoused community.

The day started early with a shotgun start. The course buzzed with sponsor-hosted activities, from food trucks and live music to magic tricks, BBQ stands, and more. Players wrapped up the day with dinner, speeches, and a live auction.

Since establishing the Links for Life Golf tournament in 2024, Qualico and its supportive sponsors have more than $350,000 for the Bridge Healing program.

The golf tournament is rapidly becoming a signature event for the home building and real estate development industries in Northern Alberta’s Capital Region. With a sold-out field and the enthusiastic backing of our sponsors, this year’s event once again made a meaningful impact in the community.

All proceeds go toward helping unhoused patients discharged from the Royal Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department find a stable path forward through temporary housing, work, and healing.

“Qualico is proud to support a program that makes a real, lasting difference for our city’s most vulnerable,” said Brad Armstrong, Regional Vice President, Qualico Northern Alberta. “Thanks to the generosity of our industry partners, we’re able to support more units, more people, and more healing for our community.”

The Bridge Healing Program, created by leaders from the Royal Alexandra Hospital and Jasper Place Wellness Centre, offers a vital alternative to discharging patients back into homelessness. With access to transitional housing and wraparound supports, participants see a 75% drop in Emergency Room visits.

“Qualico’s leadership in supporting Bridge Healing, a program designed to immediately house emergency department patients experiencing homelessness, is so appreciated by the healthcare staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. It helps relieve some of the moral distress we feel when discharging houseless patients back onto the streets,” said Dr. Louis Hugo Francescutti, an emergency physician at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

The Links for Life Invitational will return in 2026. Together with our partners and players, we’re helping Build Better Cities, one swing at a time.
