Qualico develops and builds in Edmonton’s surrounding communities including Sherwood Park, Leduc, Fort Saskatchewan, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, Devon, and Beaumont, as well as Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta. A Brief History of the Northern Alberta Region

Building a better future: supporting Kids With Cancer Society
Qualico and Kids With Cancer Society (KWCS) have partnered to help support families with a child undergoing cancer treatment, including participating in fundraisers such as the Inside Ride. Part of this partnership included working on a special project called Papa Ken’s House. In order to provide a home-away-from-home for families seeking cancer treatment for a child, KWCS – with Qualico's support and expertise – built a short-term accommodation facility that can house up to five families at a time.

Qualico Scoops Up Multiple Accolades At CustomerInsight Awards Gala
Calgary, AB – StreetSide Developments Calgary, StreetSide Developments Edmonton, and Broadview Homes Calgary were the proud recipients of 2019 CustomerInsight HOME awards on Friday, March 8, 2019.
The three business
units were recognized at the CustomerInsight Home Owner Mark of Excellence Awards annual gala for providing exceptional customer satisfaction. The awards gala, which took place at the Calgary Hyatt Regency hotel, is in its ninth year.

StreetSide Developments Edmonton won the award in the Best Customer Experience – Multi-Family Large Volume (Edmonton) category, and StreetSide Developments Calgary scooped up the award in the Best Customer Experience - Multi-Family Small Volume (Calgary)
category. The Builder of Choice – Single Family Medium Volume (Calgary) award was presented to Broadview Homes.

their award.

our homeowners that our team—Paul, Kevin, Roxanne, and Laryssa—is creating positive and helpful relationships. We have taken great care to ensure that our customers receive consistently outstanding service and support.”
Peter-John Woolf, Vice-President of Broadview Homes, noted the importance of being recognized with an award like Builder of Choice - Single Family Medium Volume (Calgary).

“This award is significant because it is based on feedback from our customers, our trade partners, and our staff,” he said. “By hiring amazing people, we have been able to build excellent relationships and I believe it shows in the homes we build. I can’t say enough about the people we have on our team. They care about our customers and we care about each other; that’s truly what it takes to create an outstanding experience and finished product.”
CustomerInsight surveys all new homebuyers after one month in their new homes, as well as after 13 months. Those surveyed are asked to rate builders on things like product and service satisfaction, processes, procedures, and follow-through on promises.
Survey information from 2018 was used to calculate the scores and determine this year’s winners, along with ratings by other builders and those in the building trades. Entries are received each year from participating companies that
build in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and the United States.
Other Qualico business units were selected as finalists for many awards this year, including:
- Best Customer Experience - Single-Family Small Volume (Northern Alberta) – Qualico (Fort McMurray)
- Best Customer Experience - Single-Family Small Volume (Edmonton) – Augusta Fine Homes
- Best Customer Experience - Single Family Medium Volume (Calgary) – Broadview Homes
- Best Customer Experience - Single Family Large Volume (Calgary) – Sterling Homes
- Best Trade Partner – Star Building Materials
Qualico business units also saw a couple of employees make it to the finalist list for Industry Ambassadors at the awards gala this year, including Ken Crockett of Star Building Materials, and Tammy Kneller of StreetSide Developments Edmonton.
