Pacesetter Homes boosts customer experience with new sales centre design

Edmonton, AB – Pacesetter Homes Edmonton recently completed an extensive redesign of 17 pre-existing sales centres and added six additional ones featuring the new design.

The new sales centres embody current merchandising trends and are tailored to enhance the customer experience by providing more readily available information in a way that resonates with today’s homebuyer.

Erin Davis, Director, Sales & Marketing, Pacesetter Homes Edmonton, said the sales centre redesign was an opportunity to realign with changing customer preferences.

“It’s essential to balance customer needs with the sales process,” said Erin. “Customers want to know about promotions, prices, and availability, and they are highly visual when purchasing a home. We aimed to make it easier for them, while also providing our salespeople with more opportunities to engage with clients.”

Dave Armstrong, Vice-President, Pacesetter Homes Edmonton, shared how customer experience was foundational to the approach.

“We understand that buyers are often overwhelmed with vast amounts information,” said Dave. “We strive to only display what is necessary to engage the customer without them feeling overwhelmed. The discovery portion of the sales process is where we determine what information to show next.”

The team conducted an analysis of the buying and selling process grounded in how customers naturally navigate through sales centres. Learnings resulted in changes to floor plans and furniture layout, as well as the addition of new features like map tables with overlaid maps that show the community layout and eye-catching promotional walls.

The map tables help customers easily visualize where their home fits within the entire community, catching their attention upon entering the space and acting as an anchor around which area sales managers can initiate conversations.

“We brought back the tried and true sold and available dots as they engage the customer with the availability and scarcity of lots,” said Dave.

The promotional walls, Erin explained, highlight current deals and promotions.

“The promotional wall acts as a disruptor, capturing attention with eye-catching content in accessible areas where customers naturally slow down, such as a sales center entry way,” said Erin. “Placing it at the front entry of the sales center, where customers pause to take their shoes off, gives them more time to engage with the promotional wall.”

Taylor Silver, Marketing Coordinator, Pacesetter Homes Edmonton, shared how creating these unique features involved a collaborative process between multiple departments, including production, marketing, and construction.

“We took into account all factors, from sales to construction, to ensure the product functions effectively for our customers,” said Taylor. “Additionally, we ensured pieces can be stored and reused as needed for future sales centres.”

Tyler Pollock, Sales Manager, Pacesetter Homes Edmonton, said the sales centre redesign is a hit with customers.

“The feedback from our sales team has been incredibly positive,” said Tyler. “The redesign has enhanced sales opportunities by making resources readily available, resulting in smoother sales process with clients.”

This sales centre redesign marks a significant evolution in Pacesetter Homes Edmonton and ensures customers can focus on what truly matters when purchasing a home, giving them choices that align with their priorities. The sales centres communicate transparency, ease, and choice, while also highlighting the caliber of builder Pacesetter Homes Edmonton continues to be.
