Broadview Homes Calgary Wins BILD Award with Versatile Design

Calgary, AB – Broadview Homes was recognized for its standards of excellence last month when it was awarded the top prize for best new single-family home, $595,000 – 658,999.

“This award demonstrates the elevated standards Calgary homebuyers have come to expect from us in the 35 years we’ve been building in the city,” said Bruce Staszczak, Sales Manager, Broadview Homes Calgary. “Everyone on our team puts so much dedication into each home we build, so seeing our employees being recognized with this award is nice.”

Winning for the Abbot III, the award speaks to how versatile the model is for homebuyers with growing families, Bruce added.

“Whether someone is looking for a three or four-bedroom house or a model with either a double or triple garage, the Abbot III can be built to these specifications. At the end of the day, we want to move homeowners into spaces we’d build for our own families.”

The Abbot III also features two bathrooms, including an elegant ensuite with matching sinks. Homeowners will also benefit from standard specifications, such as fine granite or quartz countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, durable maple hardwood flooring, nine-foot main floor ceilings, energy-saving vinyl windows, and many other options.

“It's special because you put so much time and effort into creating and making these plans cost-efficient, so when you do get one that sells well and wins awards, it feels good,” said Vanessa Stobart, Design and Estimating Manager, Broadview Homes Calgary.

She added that designing homes that are adaptable to the homebuyer’s wants and needs is the focus at Broadview Homes. This starts with designing the home’s structure and then planning for different floorplan options.

“This allows people to change and customize to make the home perfect for them. It provides them with the options to make it suitable for their family.”

As Broadview Homes celebrate 35 years of operating in Calgary, it has launched campaigns to celebrate the business unit’s success and help homebuyers understand how their Broadview home is built.

Broadview Homes celebrated its milestone by reducing prices on 35 homes by $35,000. They also launched a video series called "If It Were My House," featuring ten episodes where tradespeople share what they would include in their own homes. The series highlights the value of Broadview’s higher standard specifications, such as 9' basement ceilings, home automation, and cost-effective heating.

“The video series is meant to help homebuyers understand how we build houses and how we build to high standards compared to our competition,” said Andrew MacKenzie, Marketing Manager, Broadview Homes Calgary.

Building on the success and experience of the homebuilder’s history, Andrew added that they look forward to optimizing their product offering in the years ahead.

“We’ve been around for 35 years, but we’re taking that experience and getting better and better with every home we build.”
