Qualico US Builds on Success with Project Starlight

Austin, TX - With much success already established in the neighbourhood of East Austin, Qualico US launched a new project called Starlight in the same area in October of 2020. Starlight is a four-storey, 325-suite apartment building, located on 2.3 acres of land at the intersection of Manor Road and Alexander Avenue. The building is located on the Metro Rail Red Line, with a 10-minute walk to the MLK Station and a three-mile drive to downtown Austin. 

“Starlight is a product that follows a proven success model of similar multi-family projects in the area,” said LaNelle Deardorf, Regional Vice-President, Qualico US. “It offers the desired product to young professionals and families within a popular neighbourhood.” 

Over the past 10 years, East Austin has gone through a vibrant revitalization, with the emergence of trendy restaurants, boutique shopping and modern accommodations that appeal to millennial renters. The property will offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, consistent with market demand in the area. Early renderings for Starlight include a courtyard pool, spa, cabanas and other desired amenities that combined with its prime location, make it an inviting place to call home.

Qualico has been invested in this project with joint-venture partner Ledcor from the beginning, with the land purchase for the location closing in December 2019. Construction is set for completion during the fourth quarter of 2022.
