Pacesetter Homes Texas Wins First National NAHB Award

Las Vegas, NV – Taylor Humphrey, Division Sales and Marketing Manager at Pacesetter Homes Texas in Dallas, was awarded the Sales Manager of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders on Tuesday night.

With sales leaders from across the United States nominated for the award, this is the first national award Pacesetter Homes has received and marks another milestone of success as a nationally recognized homebuilder.

A panel of judges determines the winner based on specific criteria, including sales performance, sales volume, the number of communities being managed, and the sales manager’s duties and responsibilities.

Taylor, who joined Pacesetter Homes Texas in 2019, said he would not be in this position without the support of his team and the business unit’s leadership.

“I’m truly blessed to have an amazing team that put me up for this award and an incredible company that supports us,” Taylor said. “To be recognized by the NAHB on the national stage is an honour and a dream come true.”

Taylor was also named the 2022 Sales Manager of the Year at Dallas-Fort Worth’s McSam Awards.

Blake Friesenhahn, Vice-President, Pacesetter Homes Texas, Dallas Division, said that Taylor is an integral part of Pacesetter’s management team and the business unit’s success.

“He works tirelessly to support and prepare the sales team, helping the division navigate market extremes that we have experienced over the past couple of years,” Blake said.

The award marks another achievement for Pacesetter Homes Texas since first starting operations in Austin in 2004, and then expanding to Dallas-Fort Worth in 2019. The homebuilder has appeared on the Builder 100 list every year since 2017, with 844 closings in 2021 alone.

The business unit’s Dallas operations played a key role in that growth, from six home possessions in 2018 to 266 in 2022.

“Taylor’s win puts a spotlight on Pacesetter Homes as a nationally recognized homebuilder,” said LaNelle Deardorf, Regional Vice-President, Qualico US. “Pacesetter is poised for tremendous growth in the DFW market, and Taylor’s leadership of the sales & marketing team will be a great asset in successfully achieving that growth.”

In addition to leading the sales team and increasing sales performance in the Dallas market, Taylor also played a leading role in developing Pacesetter University. The comprehensive training program educates sales staff on every aspect of home building and the home buying process.
