Qualico Communities BC Hits Servicing Project Milestone

Langley, BC – Qualico Communities BC is completing servicing projects for its development in the Brookswood community in Langley, including an extensive 3-km sanitary sewer line that connects to nearby infrastructure and an innovative stormwater detention solution.

The completed stormwater detention facility is a result of successful collaboration between Qualico Communities BC, the Township of Langley, and the Province of BC. The ideal location for a stormwater pond was identified to be on a provincially-owned park that the Township of Langley leases from the Province. The innovative approach saw the Qualico Communities team leverage a natural existing ground depression and creek outlet. By augmenting the natural landscape versus dredging an artificial secondary pond, the stormwater management solution blends naturally into the existing park space and greenways that residents currently use for recreation and walking paths.
