Foxridge Homes BC Wins Big at 2022 Georgie Awards
Vancouver, BC – Foxridge Homes BC was recognized for excellence in the homebuilding industry on June 4th, winning three awards at the 30th annual Georgie Awards. Recognizing the best home builders in the province by
the Canadian Homebuilders Association – BC Region, award winners are selected by a panel of industry judges.
With a total of seven nominations, Foxridge Homes BC earned awards in three categories: The Westbrooke at Willoughby community in Langley, Edgestone’s Glenmore Showhome in Surrey’s Grandview Heights neighbourhood, and Foxridge Homes BC’s
new corporate website.
These honours come after Foxridge Homes BC won the Avid Benchmark Award for Customer Service last month.
Gary Mertens, Regional Vice President, Qualico BC and VP of Foxridge Homes BC, said the awards speak to the dedication of their passionate team working together to put the customer first.
“There’s a lot of hard work, thought and consideration that goes into designing our homes and communities, and developing customer relationships,” Gary said.
“It’s a team effort that makes everything come together. It’s also a reflection of our willingness to listen to customer feedback and implement changes wherever we can to improve our product.”
Best Single-Family Home Production Development – Westbrooke at Willoughby, Langley, BC
Located in Langley’s historic Willoughby community, Westbrooke is one of Qualico’s largest master-planned single-family home developments. The community is designed with connectivity in mind, with an assortment of elegant single-family homes and freehold row homes including non-strata duplexes, triplexes, and quadplexes within walking distance to Willoughby Town Centre – a bustling community hub – also developed by Qualico – consisting of over 40 shops, restaurants, services, entertainment options, and pedestrian plazas.
Each of the housing options in Westbrooke features the homebuilder’s style and craftsmanship, with spacious open-concept designs, welcoming double-height entries, beautiful kitchens, and high-end finishes. Westbrooke is also home to the new Donna
Gabriel Robins Elementary School, a pocket park, and an ecological greenway that will connect the development’s eight phases.
Sustainability is built into every aspect of Westbrooke, from energy-efficient homes to an innovative award-winning underground stormwater detention facility.
“We’re also working on our first Net Zero home model for the next phase of Westbrook. Once built, it will be the first production single-family home to reach this standard in the lower mainland,” said Gary.
All the homes in Westbrooke are built to rigorous energy efficiency standards, achieving a minimum step three BC building code, with many achieving step four.
