Qualico Companies Win Big at Edmonton's Homebuilder Awards

Edmonton, AB - There was a buzz in the air as members of Edmonton’s homebuilder industry gathered for this year’s Canadian Home Builders Association Awards of Excellence in Housing Gala earlier this month. Held in person for the first time in over two years, more than 1,100 attendees relished the opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the achievements of their peers in Edmonton’s fast-growing residential housing industry.

Pacesetter Homes, Streetside Developments and Sterling Homes earned a total of 15 Awards of Excellence for sales volume and housing design in a range of categories and price points. Qualico Communities Edmonton also took home an award for its Get Digging direct mail marketing campaign. The awards are selected by a panel of industry judges and represent the best in the Edmonton region.

Pacesetter Homes Edmonton Wins Most Home Sales by Builder

Pacesetter Homes won for the Most Home Sales in the Greater Edmonton area, a new award handed out for the first time this year by CHBA Edmonton. The award recognizes the hard work, experience, and dedication of its sales team, as well as every employee and contractor working to position Pacesetter Homes as the builder of choice for the Edmonton market, says Erin Davis, Sales and Marketing Director, Pacesetter Homes Edmonton.

“The Most Home Sales Award is proof of the success that has come from all the efforts we’ve put in together as a team,” said Erin. ”It confirms that there is customer confidence in the product we are selling and the level of innovation we’re delivering. We got to this place because customers are choosing us as their builder.”

In a year with pandemic restrictions, shifting consumer preferences, supply chain disruptions, and price fluctuations, home builders have had to contend with constant change in the market.

The team’s willingness to embrace and adapt to change was a reason for their success for achieving such a high level of success, Erin added.

Pacesetter Homes’ The Ellerston, an executive style home model built by Pacesetter Homes, was also recognized with the Best Single-Family Home Award in the $700,000-$850,000 price range. The 2,802 sq. ft. home is characterized by an abundance of luxury finishes and fixtures, vaulted ceilings, full-height windows, an enormous chef’s kitchen, and well-planned rooms that make it the perfect place for entertaining guests.

Streetside Developments Edmonton Wins Best Multi-Family Home in Three Categories

As Edmonton’s largest multi-family home builder, Streetside Developments was honoured with Awards of Excellence for Best Multi-Family home across three different categories. The Abbey, The Fremont, and The Virginia, all townhome models built by StreetSide, were each recognized for the unique use of the modern farmhouse design theme. The concept has proven to be extremely popular with first-time homebuyers looking for affordable alternatives to a single-family home.

The freehold townhomes are designed to offer many of the same comforts as single-family homes, with features like attached garages, dens, fireplaces, bar options, and outdoor living space.

The homebuilder’s focus on the customer, with research, testing, and feedback built into their development process, is a key to their success.

“A lot of research goes into the design of our multi-family homes, and that’s been the key for us. It’s essential that the layout and design align fully to what today’s customers are expecting,” said Vanessa Freeman, Sales and Marketing Manager, StreetSide Developments Edmonton.

As for the future direction, all signs are pointing to continued upward momentum for Streetside Developments, Vanessa added.
