Swift Sales for Foxridge Homes BC's New Latimer Creek Development

Langley, BC – Foxridge Homes BC’s new Latimer Creek development in Langley is proving to be a hot commodity, with all 26 homes spoken for shortly after sales commenced in January.

The three- and four-bedroom single-family homes are in Langley’s Willoughby community, are just minutes away from amenities like Willowbrooke Shopping Centre, Willoughby Town Centre, and the proposed extended SkyTrain Expo Line along the Fraser Highway.

The homes are ideal for young families with children who are typically upsizing from townhomes, as well as for empty nesters who may be downsizing from large estate homes.

With the growing demand in Langley and a lack of new home supply to meet that demand, drumming up interest in and selling the Latimer Creek homes happened in a flash.

“Sales started January 16 by appointment only,” said Amie Tran, Marketing Manager, Foxridge Homes BC. “Due to the overwhelming demand, and to ensure fairness, we implemented a first-come, first-served email booking system for appointments. Within the first 15 minutes, our sales team received over 100 emails requesting appointments to purchase.”

There are now over 1,000 registrants for the Latimer Creek homes. All 26 homes (not all of which have been released yet) have been snapped up, and there are approximately three to five people on waitlists per lot.

“With such strong demand, we did zero paid advertising,” said Amie. “We promoted the project through organic social media posts, e-blasts to our existing database, and word-of-mouth marketing.”

Foxridge Homes BC also recently launched its new website, which allows users to filter between ‘now selling’ (where the Latimer Creek homes can be found), ‘coming soon’, and ‘past communities’. The new website was designed with mobile users in mind since 75 per cent of the homebuilder’s web visitors viewing the site on a mobile device.

Along with the sought-after location, the Latimer Creek homes have several other attractive elements for potential buyers.

They feature an open concept main floor, an attached double-car garage with side-by-side parking, a private fenced rear yard, a finished basement or legal suite option, a wok/spice kitchen option, a plug-in-ready garage for an electric vehicle charger, and a variety of smart home features such as garage door openers, thermostats and kitchen faucets (both standard and optional upgrades).

Latimer Creek also has some of Foxridge Homes BC’s most energy-efficient homes built to date. They achieve Step 3 of the BC Energy Step Code, which uses computer modelling to produce various technical data/benchmarks that determine a home’s efficiency compared to a ‘reference home’ built to the BC Building Code standards.

“For a home to achieve Step 3 of the BC Energy Step Code, it must meet a minimum threshold of 20 per cent better than the reference house,” explained Nicholas Bell, Project Manager, Foxridge Homes BC, “along with some other more technical modelling requirements related to the mechanical system, building envelope, and air exchange rates.”

In the case of the Latimer Creek homes, this is achieved with triple-glazed windows, high-performance building envelopes, well-insulated airtight walls, energy-efficient appliances, and high-performance mechanical systems. The homes are also EnerGuide rated to compare their energy consumption to that of a reference home.

Building permit submissions for Latimer Creek have just begun, and construction of the homes is tentatively scheduled to start in the fall of 2021.
