Canadian Home Builders' Association of BC Recognizes Foxridge Homes Vancouver With 2019 Georgie Award

Surrey, BC – On Saturday, March 9, Foxridge Homes Vancouver was recognized for its excellence in homebuilding at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC’s 27th annual Georgie Awards gala, taking home the 2019 Georgie Award for “Single Family Production Home Builder of the Year.” The event was held at the downtown Vancouver Hyatt Regency in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 650 industry professionals.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be awarded, yet again, with the title of “Single Family Production Home Builder of the Year” at this year’s Georgie Awards,” said Gary Mertens, Regional Vice-President, Qualico BC. “It is a true honour to be recognized by industry peers and professionals at the most highly coveted housing awards program in British Columbia, which has long been considered the Oscars of the province’s building industry.”

Foxridge Homes Vancouver has now won this title for the second time, winning each time the business unit has entered for the awards (first in 2017 and now in 2019).

The Georgie Awards are provincial in scope, showcasing association members’ commitment and dedication to the CHBA’s high standards of service. Award criteria includes environmental responsibility and support of CHBA BC environmental programs, industry involvement of the builder and support of CHBA BC initiatives, career development within the organization, charitable and social contributions to the community, innovation within the industry and mentoring of new professionals in the industry.
