Qualico Hops On The Bike In Support Of The JDRF Revolution Ride To Defeat Diabetes

Winnipeg, MB – Qualico Clockwork Angels from Corporate office participated in JDRF’s Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes on November 7.

Captained by Jim Cooper, Director of Corporate Compensation and Performance Management, HR, the team finished fourth in fundraising with a total of $3,391.50 going toward the cause.

Alongside Jim, the rest of the team included:

  • Corrina Swiddle, Manager, Administrative Sales, Single Family Winnipeg
  • Stephanie Childerhose, Sales Representative, StreetSide Developments,
  • Kyle Holodryga, Process Analyst, Corporate Purchasing
  • Ryan Alby, HR Business Partner

They all put in a mighty effort and peddled hard to put up the highest number of combined kilometers cycled.

The high-energy cycling event involved 54 teams and 247 participants, and Qualico added to the fun by sponsoring the photo booth. A total of 723 donations were made and JDRF raised over $50,000 at the Winnipeg Revolution Ride.

“It was great to get back in the saddle at an event I’ve participated in many times, proudly captaining an enthusiastic Qualico team this ride,” said Jim. “While I’ve supported the great work of JDRF for years, it has taken on a special importance since my eldest son, Zack, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes shortly after his 16th birthday and one week before he was to depart for France on a school trip.”
