The hospital’s emergency department was originally built to accommodate around 25,000 visits per year.

Calgary, AB – Ride through the Rockies took place August 23-25, 2019, raising funds and heart rates with a grueling cycling trek – all in the name of helping Habitat for Humanity. In total, $115,330 was raised for Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta.

The family who received the donation has been fostering a sibling group of nine children and was in the process of adopting the children to become a family of 11.

Calgary, AB – When people have a safe place to call home, they can focus on other areas of their lives and amazing things can happen. An initiative in Calgary aimed to make that a reality for 3,000 homeless and vulnerable people living in the city. The RESOLVE campaign was a limited-time fundraiser that officially ended in 2018, which involved nine not-for-profit agencies raising money for affordable housing and hundreds of donors, including Qualico.

Winnipeg, MB – Every family deserves to have a safe and comfortable home. That’s why Habitat for Humanity Manitoba started the annual Ride Around the Lake event 13 years ago. This year’s event, held from September 13 to 15, raised more funds than any previous Ride Around the Lake event.

Devon, AB – At a ceremony held last week, a Devon family of six received keys to their new home, and they couldn’t be more excited. The is the first Devon, Alberta, home for Habitat for Humanity Edmonton and was pledged by Qualico and Pacesetter Homes during Habitat Day earlier this year.

Calgary, AB – Hungry kids often struggle to succeed in school. Hunger can limit a student’s ability to focus, retain information and participate properly in school activities. With food insecurity affecting about one-in-12 families in Alberta, the issue is far-reaching.

Winnipeg, MB – Each year, approximately 500 First Nation, Inuit, and Métis students start their post-secondary education journey at the University of Manitoba (U of M). The university’s Indigenous Student Centre is there to welcome them and, with the support of Qualico’s Bridge to Success Program, provide them with important skills to ensure they are successful in their academic endeavors.

Surrey, BC – For the second year in a row, Qualico was the reception sponsor for the Surrey Hospital Foundation’s Celebration of Care Gala. The James Bond-themed event was held at the Aria Banquet Hall on Saturday, February 23, and raised over $4.8 million.
